Terrible Tutu's

I never in a million years thought I'd be caught dead in a tutu, but alas, here we are. In full rehearsal skirts getting warmed up for an incredibly long rehearsal. My toenails feel like they're about to fall off. TMI? TMI. But anyway, here are a couple of shot's a friend of ours took while we were getting ready.

Don't I look ready to work? Lol. This was at 8am. I was actually just in a daze. My alarm didn't go off which meant no stopping at Starbucks for my daily dose of sugar and caffeine.

The beautiful, talented, wonderful Magda. Who is standing right next to me and forcing me to type this. If I'm not careful she's gonna take over this blog. Lol.

Until next time.

Love,
Lola

I Have Returned.

Before I get into anything too interesting, I'd like to direct you up to your navigation thingy where you type in URL's. You'll notice mine has changed. Lololennon, you ask? Why on earth would she change her URL to that? Has she just now discovered The Beatles? Well, the answer to that is a resounding NO. I've known about them since before I came out of the womb, seriously. The reason I changed it is...well, Lennon is my real name. Not Lola. But, because of my last name being somewhat... musical as well, I started going by Lola, and haven't looked back since. Well, until a few weeks ago when I had a wake up call and realized how stupid it was to not go by my name because of other people's stupidity. So I'm taking it back. You can absolutely still call me Lola, that's fine, but I'll answer to Lennon too.

Phew. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, so much has changed, you guys! So much. So I'm just gonna make a list:

1. NO MORE GLASSES! Well, at least not all the time. My mom finally approved contacts!
2. I moved back to New York! Except this time it's 'temporary' aka for the summer. I'll post more about that below.
3. I'm dancing at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School!
^^^^^^^^

So, about two months ago Magdalena and I were in modern at school and our teacher told us that the American Ballet Theatre school was doing an audition tour. So, Magda dragged me along even though I obviously felt like I had no business being there. Turns out, I did. I got into the summer program! And so did Magda. So we are currently living in an apartment with a 'host family'. The daughter is an apprentice with the company, and is currently on tour, so we haven't met her yet! It's crazy! So, I'm super excited about this experience... Dance has never been one of those things I've taken that seriously so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Well, I'm off to catch some Z's. Here's a parting photo of me with two eyes, instead of four.

Love,
Lola/Lennon
